A Short History of HVTIA
In June 1960, a subdivision, to be called Hidden Valley Estates, was recorded in Pima County (See the
original document below). This land
was at the Northeast corner of Sabino Canyon Road and Snyder Rd. Homes were built, and by summer of 1969,
the land was further divided.
In August 1969, a meeting of the new corporation, called Hidden Valley Town-Houses,
was held. The following persons were elected to serve as the first directors of the corporation: W. H. Miller,
Helen Miller, and John Wesley Miller. (John Wesley Miller is builder and contractor who still lives and
works in Tucson.)
In September 1969, the Deed Restrictions for Hidden Valley Town-House were recorded in
Pima County.
By 1972, fifty townhouse units had been built on ten acres and were all occupied. The association was turned
over to the
owners September 9, 1972. Adopted changes to the Articles and By-Laws were recorded on November 11, 1973.
One of the original owners is Leo Morris. Click here to read some of the stories about the early days of HVTIA and his description of the
territory surrounding the association in 1971 when they bought their unit.
